Let's get started with a broad subject: What radio(s) and bands do you currently operate while mobile?
I have an Yaesu FT-8800 dual band, with a Larsen 2M/440 antenna, A Icom 706 MkII, 80-10 Meters with an AH-4 auto tuner, a RCI-2950 with a Larsen NMO-27, and a RS Pro-2051 scanner with a MaxRad 800 antenna for around town; for road trips I replace the 800 with a RS scanner ant modified to mount on an NMO mount.
