I even had to ask a friend that's been into /\/\ for years if it was normal that a P25 conventional channel with a properly set NAC would not open squelch on the encrypted users but
would on the ones in the clear on my 5000/2500 (I wanted to make sure my radio wasn't programmed wrong!).
