Yes you can. There are no real issues here, other than related to programming the trunked system.

No. The reason people put in a "space", is when there are more than a single trunked system in the same bank. But it is not actually a space, it must be a programmed unlocked frequency in AM, FM, CT or DC mode. And the second trunked system must be the same type as the first, and their talkgroups should not conflict.

The caveats here are releated to the trunked system you are programming. If it is MOtorola, there are no real issues - just program in control frequencies and set to MO. However other systems must be programmed into correct slots (logical channel numbers), and typically channel x00 is not used (although you can put a conventional frequency there).
