I don't think I'd get much traffic from the military air. The only time I've ever heard of any military flights close was last year when a fighter jet made a screaming low altitude flight over Wenatchee and freaked out half the town. lol
Have you ever been up near Snoqualmie Pass and seen jets flying over the lake alongside the highway? They fly low over Lake Kachess too, we were up there camping once and they'd come screaming in just a few hundred feet over the lake. Very exciting! I was told that they go up there to practice flying low under the radar.
The Radio Shack guy told me this morning that he believes we won't ever go to trunking. That there are only about 10 frequencies in use here at any time and we just don't need to. And that it certainly isn't in any budget in the foreseeable future.
I'm thinking I might just pick up that Uniden BC95 now, and see what Radio Shack has for sales on Black Friday this year.
