Railroad Programs on Satellite/Cable
I'm not technically a railfan. I don't know much about railroading. I don't snap pictures. I don't typically monitor RR frequencies. But I do find the railroads fascinating.
If you are fortunate enough to get RFDTV on your cable, DirecTV or DishNetwork and you can record it with a DVR or VCR, you should keep a lookout for their "Trains & Locomotives" programming. It's very interesting.
Just today I watched an hourlong episode of "Trains & Locomotives" called "Steam Dream: The Ohio Central Story." It was a great show about the OCRR. Quite a bit of steam video and interviews with the owner. From 2008.
I'd recommend that you guys interested in railroading keep an eye out for this type of programming on RFDTV.

I believe I've also seen some interesting hourlong shows on The History Channel, TLC or DISC about the BNSF and UP.
So if you're a railfan you should keep an eye out on RFDTV, The History Channel, TLC and Discovery for interesting programs on the railroads.
