I also would agree that you should program a remote mount CDM from the rear 20pin port. This would be safest way because the CDM some type of issue with the remote set up. Some program ok from the mic port and some don't but you will only know when its too late and you have an eeprom cs error. I have fixed about 4-5 for people that got the eeprom error. NEVER USE A USB cable of any kind for the HT/CDM you will be sorry at some point.
