I hate Vista-64bit
Russell;
While I cannot speak about that particular cable, I have had problems with Windows Vista 64 bit.
I could not get my Belkin USB-Serial port adapter to work on it. In fact, a few other things did not work with that version of Vista.I wanted to add additional USB ports on the rear of my desktop and discovered that I could not. The reason? You guessed it, the 64 bit OS. I had to search high and low before I found one on the internet at almost double the price. Belkin told me that they did not (at the time) have a driver for 64 bit because there was not a high demand for it but that they were working on getting one out.I eventualy got rid of the computer and switched to a 32 bit OS. I've been trouble free ever since! So it may not be you doing something wrong or something wrong with the cable, it just may be the 64 bit OS. It needs a driver specificaly made for it in some cases to work right. I feel your frustration.....
