I can see and understand the need for sensitive operations and information. But, outside of the obvious is adds another curtain of secrecy to the conduct of Police Officers who are already under a microscope for their conduct. For most of us here we know their is many other com's available for "less then kosher" handling of incidents, Nextel, celluar etc. But, things do happen, during regular patrols by less then standup officers and the only way a person would even know, is by someone who heard it.
