I used to be a dispatcher at Troop I and this is correct. However Troop I does cover I-91 down to Exit 3 and also covers the towns from Milford to East Haven Mutual aid and Major Crime requests. Also they will respond to I-95 upon a request from Troop G. All comms though will be on Troop G's frequency. If your just driving through and not going to hop on any of the other highways or stop in the New Haven area, you do not need to have Troop I in the scanner.
