Best to program stuff you want to listen to in lists vs. running in search mode since its likely that 80% of the talkgroups are rarely used. Not that I know ANYTHING about that system, but I've never understood why a system would need 30 training and special events channels. If there are more good talkgroups than allowed in the scanner, its best then to divide the state into sections and duplicate the system(s) over several banks.
