Default FAA Computer Failure

A computer at Atlanta has failed causing major delays across the nation. The FAA in Salt Lake City is working as a back-up but cannot complete the work of both centers. the computer is one used to create flight plans. no safety issues due to the failure.

Didn't something like this just happen a few months ago too? At a different center?

A lot of this has been happening lately. SO Chicken Little, the sky IS falling.

Plane parts keep falling on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those plane parts are falling on my head, they keep falling

So I just did me some talkin' to the Fed
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those plane parts are falling on my, head they keep falling...

^ Haha, good one, kb2vxa.

You'd think that for something so important, they'd have a hot standby server, or at least some sort of on-site backup....
