I am going to bet that it was a flight back from Anchorage. Not infrequently returning fishermen from Dutch Harbor or Alyeska employees coming back home from a tour on the north slope spend a few hours knocking back a few drinks in Anchorage and are just manage to "keep it together" in order to get n the plane. Once in the air another drink are two are all it takes for them t get out of control. I've come back from Anchorage on a flight with a few of such rowdies and on, exiting the plane, seen a a King County Sheriff's deputy waiting to meet the guy in question as he is escorted off by a flight attendant or First Officer.

Back in the early 80's I was on a flight from Luanda, Angola to Paris on board a Angolan Airways 707; I was flying in first class and there was a rear cabin full of oil-field workers on a 28 day rotation. They were feeling no pain when we started the take-off roll, just as we rotated for takeoff we lost an engine, the fire alarm went off and the crew started their emergency routine,we circuled for about an hour to dump fuel; talk about quiet not one word was heard from the cabin.
