You're a long way from me but you can try 123.025,123.050.123.075mhz. am for starters.
You may have some air med transports elswhere on vhf/uhf as well, for example we have Lifeflight air which dispatches on 159.510mhz./88.5pl out of OSF in peoria ill.

Try asking the question on the Minnesota forum as there are a lot of state-to-state differences. Here in Iowa, a lot of the medical helicopter traffic is on the RACOM 800Mhz trunked EDACS system. Something similar may also be true in MN.

Default Helicopter frequencies

Go to North Carolina in the RR database & click on "medevac" on the agency drop down menu, there are a ton of frequencies. You should hear some very exciting comms, Happy hunting

In Indianapolis,In all of our Newsmedia have helicopters use 123.050 and they use 123.025 for Helicopter to Helicopter.I can also hear all of our medivacs coming into Indianapolis on 123.050 letting other Helicopters in the area that they will be in the flight path.

Sorry for the cross-eyed answer....was thinking you had just moved to MN vice the other way. Same answer applies though...just substitute NC.

Enter all the Victor 1-? air channels. I believe there there's about 8 of them. I don't have the list handy but you should be able to do a search to find them. They are also published along with the USFS and federal fire fighting freqs. Enter all of your state fire/police mutual aid frequencies along with the MED channels too. If you want to hear the news and traffic helos, then try your local Press/Media freqs. What specific kind of Helos are you trying to monitor?

Default Additional Helicopter freq's

Bowtiebob:
I pulled these additional Charlotte broadcast frequencies up from the FCC database, I dont know if they are used for the related newstations choppers but you can try them out.

WSOC: 450.0125 MHz 450.4875 MHz 455.4875 MHz

KXEL: 450.65 MHz 455.05 MHz 455.15 MHz 455.25 MHz 455.65 MHz

Jackson Telecasters: 450.2125 MHz

North Carolina Broadcasting: 450.6125 MHz 455.6125 MHz

Also the following site is awsome.

AirNav: Airport Information

On the homepage click on advanced search then enter KCLT in the airport identifier box in section 1, then click off airports & click on heliports in section 2 then in airfield use click on private, public & military airfields then choose between 20 to 200 nautical miles in the 2nd. dropdown menu in section 3 then hit search, when the heliport list comes up just click on the left side blue helicopter icon to display all the heliports info.
Have fun.
