List Of Unknown Freqs

Tonight I was scanning the air band and wrote a list of freqs I cant fiqure out. Could someone help me fiqure these out please. Just an F.Y.I I do not listen much to the air band and I know most of you guys proberly do. I checked the database and was only able to fiqure out three of them. None of the planes said what center.

Here is the list:
132.875 BM AM
135.550 BM AM
125.575 BM AM
130.425 BM AM
119.475 BM AM

The two I identifyed are not listed in the list. It was 132.775, 134.175. I had a typo. That is the list of onces I could not fiqure out. I meant two I fiqured out. They are out of Indianapolis (ZID).

Using the frequency search function and selecting the "Entire Database" all the frequencies you list come up.

Are you hearing these from Peoria ?

132.875 - Kansas City Sector 90
135.550 - Chicago Sector 61
125.575 - Chicago Sector 94
130.425 - Company frequency ?
119.475 - Kansas City Sector 30
135.075 - Comes up with multiple matches but none in range of Peoria

Normally Chicago Sector 61 uses 121.375. If you hear traffic on 135.550 again and happen to note the time and a flightnumber any chance you can post it hear so I can verify the sector ? Same for 135.075 as all frequencies listed are not in range of what you could hear in Peoria.

Yes the RR database. I dont know any others. I am using a mobile antenna mounted on phone books. It is a 800MHz Maxrad but it works great in the VHF band. I also used my shortwave radio hooked up to a longwire. When I get back home I will give it a listen again. Yes I am hearing it from Peoria. Listening from my home.

I proberly didnt need it spoon fed. I forgot to use the RR Wiki and Google. The Wiki is my friend.

I actually found it in the RR database myself. I matched it up to the guys list of what he did for me.

The RR database, while good, is not always correct or up to date. So it would be helpfull, if it's not too much trouble, if you could provide more info. on what you heard, especially on 135.550 and 135.075.

And the RR database does not list any sectors that are actually inrange of Peoria on 135.075 so I'm kinda curious what you heard ?

Ok. I will give 135.075 and 135.550 a listen again and see what I hear. Do they usually say the flight number when they first talk? I dont understand what aircraft say half the time expect how high they are.

It is a little fuzzy but I heard 37 and 39 on 135.550. Still did not hear a center .

eg: "Chicago, United 1532 at flight level 360"

When they get the handoff to the next frequency they should read it back (although not all pilots will readback the frequency they will just acknowledge with their callsign).

"United 1532, 133.75" (United flight 1532 switching to frequency 133.75). Some pilots will omit the 1 and read the frequency back as 33.75.

So if you can give me a callsign and flightnumber that you hear as well as the altitude, and especially helpful would be any handoff frequencies, I'll be able to tell what sector it is.

I will give it a listen again when it is anther nice day and see what I hear. The weather probley made the plans sound fuzzy. The thunder storms probley made it fuzzy.

You can usually hear every ATCC site in your state so I would try to search that frequency in the Chicago,Indianapolis, Memphis and Kansas City Centers

If you ;live near the border of another state I would program the frequencies closest to your state border. You'd be surprised on what you hear. Like I said I live in Northern NJ and can hear 90% of the NY ATCC frequencies
