Houston Center Frequency

I am using SDR# to monitor local aircraft frequencies and found 132.175 FM, from Houston Center. I've been monitoring it for several days, and have confirmed it is from Houston Center. I am guessing it is Lacombe, Louisiana as I live about 15 miles away.

That was a typo. Yes it is AM, not FM. I did not see it listed in any Houston Center frequency list.

According to the RR and FAA database's the 132.175 transmitter is located at Grand Isle, around 80 miles south of Lacombe. However when you look at the coordinates provided for Grand Isle on Google Earth there does not appear to be an antenna tower (RCAG) at that location ? So maybe 132.175 has been relocated to Lacombe ?

When you say you are hearing traffic on 132.175 I presume you mean the controller, or just aircraft ? How strong can you hear the controller ?

I'm curious if you can hear the controller on any of the other Houston frequencies that are listed at Grand Isle and Lacombe ?

I'm receiving both controller and aircraft loud & clear. I have a multiband antenna on the roof of my house. I live too far from Grand Isle, I'm sure it's not that location. I haven't tried the other freqs, as soon as I do I'll repost.

FAA location data is often way off. The Grand Isle RCAG appears to be at 29.224, -90.02 in real life.

Yes the FAA info. is not always accurate, I looked around the general area but didn't see it. Thanks for that, it does look like a typical RCAG.
