They problem here is a few rogue people who do not want to go by regulations,as most of the flight trackers abide BY FAA RULES when an aircraft owner wants their aircraft blocked, most of the time those are blocked.Uncensored information on Military aircraft is now being investigated by Military Intelligence Specialists as well.

The train has already left the station... ADS-B / Mode S was designed by the FAA / ICAO before privacy and revolutionary consumer grade electronics started making an impact on information that can be made readily available. The only recourse now available is through regulation / legislation, although the Comm Act of 1934 *might* already cover the rebroadcast / dissemination of information "heard" over-the-air," at least in the US. They will have to redesign the system / reequip aircraft and ground stations to enable encryption, and that is not going to happen anytime soon.

After reading article seems mainly a few complaints by a few Biz jets who don't like
anybody to know where they are going.. Someone will see you depart or land so no such
thing as invisible aircraft.
The Military doesn't care much as they can switch off the ADS-B when on important missions.
Fighters and bombers already rarely use ADS-B so no harm there.
Some routine Mil flights can be tracked but who cares? ADS-B lets other aircraft know they are there
for safety reasons.
Article sounds alarmist by some paranoid aircraft owners who are using the company plane to go flyfishing in Montana.
Maybe the shareholders should know that..

Bunch of BS. This hobby needs some lobbyists in Washington.

I've been saying that for decades.

This whole concept of making illegal anything someone does not like will eventually destroy every hobby and every activity because there will always be someone who wants to ruin things for others.

The snippet in the article about Davos cracks me up. Amazing how paranoid the elites are! God forbid that we "little people" should know anything ...

I'm fairly new at tracking planes, but I tend to agree with you Mark.

Yeah Davos is favorite meeting point for Climate greenies and their private jets
inbound for the parties and show their concern for climate change..
Elite hypocrites as they are who don't like regular folks to see them doing the Swiss party scenes burning tons of jet fuel..
I got nothing against private jets and think they are a great tool and wish I had one but seems some are afraid they'll be found out doing things that won't square with their fans/supporters/bosses.. Just be quiet and drive your tiny electric car and don't track them and please send them more taxes/donations and regulations ..LOL

Call up Frank Underwood he will make sure nothing happens to it... LOL

I love that show! After the last season I suggested on one of the boards that Freddy should be the one to take out FU. My scenario was to have Freddy working in the rose garden outside the Oval Office and he would witness Frank battering Claire. Freddy would react swiftly and take off Franks head with his machete and at same time Meachem would arrive see the slaughter and begin sobbing. The camera would slowly pan to FU's decapitated head, eyes opened and the eyes focusing on his own bloody sleeves and his gold F U cuff links. Slowly the eyes/camera would fade black. Freddy would be heard saying "somebody had to cut the head off that snake".

Well this season the writers had some different ideas and Meachem is dead and so far FU is back alive and we do know Freddy hates his guts. I am still hoping for Freddy to take him out.

Some where out there..
Unless these folks, that want blocking or encryption, have VERY deep pockets I don't see this even being tested until 2030 or later. ADS-B and the associated systems are world wide systems. ICAO would have to agree. India just signed an agreement for space based ADS-B systems for remote and oceanic tracking. Satellites cost a lot of money so the blockers better start saving their money if they really want to encrypt or block in the clear transmissions. This would be a difficult task. 2020 is around the corner and there will be a lot of aircraft that will be required to have ADS-B out as a minimum.

In AT/ DE / CH its illegal receiving ADSB but does anyone care abot? No... Pandoras Box is open and cant be closed.
Digital isnt any solution now it must be encrypt. Even Tetra are decoded.
