135.970 - Check in

This past Thursday I heard couple of air pilots in communications with each other on a different frequency about checking in to this frequency "135.970" while in flight to their designation. I was scanning that frequency I heard them as well on 135.97. I am in Middle Georgia/Byron close to Macon, Georgia. I hear a lot of traffic on 135.970 ever since I programmed this frequency in my scanner. Anyone know what this frequency belongs to?

Your 135.970 is actually 135.975. Remember here in North America channel spacing in the civilian aircraft band is 25 kHz between freqs. Any freq posted should be divided equally by 25.

135.975 MHz is a Jacksonville ARTCC freq located at Alma GA. This VHF RCAG freq is paired with 282.300 MHz.

And I was a phantom phixer with VF-201 in Big D. ;-)

Yea, she knows. That is why I have a 500 square foot radio room that we share. Now that I am for the most part retired I get to play in it whenever I want. Love those radio toys.
