Hostage Situation

This is really breaking, but I wouldnt dare post from work. 500 blk of Francis street in west end. Male shot earlier, suspect reportedly holding a hostage inside the house. Incidents are on Tac3, Spec Events 2.

Tact (or SWAT) is on scene.

incident has been going on since about 1257hrs.

They are cutting the power now at 1607hrs (per scanner reports)

Entry was made at about 1803hrs after the deployment of several tear gas projectiles.

Officer via scanner reported structure clear and two signal 09's inside.

Yeah, considering my position, I didnt want to post anything other than the signal code until it was released to the media. Yes, there were two decedants in the house, a male and a female.

very interesting and sad. I hope it wasn't a murder-suicide inside the house. And does anybody have an update on the original gunshot victim? Last I heard he was at UAB - no condition given.

A news report yesterday reported him in critical condition. I believe he was shot in the head.
