Default Birmingham Info

I have to go to Birmingham next week,so I am updating my radio programming.
Which Birmingham PD precinct,South or East, covers B-ham's portion of US 280?
Also does anyone besides Shelby Co, Hoover, Birmingham, Homewood and Mountain Brook cover US 280? Thanks for any and all assistance

The South Precinct covers the US 280 Corridor along with the other agencies you have listed.

Vestavia, also. How far down 280 are you going? Cahaba Valley Fire, Chelsea Fire, Westover Fire and Harpersville Fire cover 280 in Shelby County.

Thanks guys. I can never remember for the life of me which precinct covered that area.
Dave, I will be north bound (or is that northwest bound) from Tallapoosa Co (or 62 Land), so those FD's you mentioned are "permanent" residents in my scanner programs. It's that area from Double Oak Mtn to the Red Mountain Expressway that I always forget "who does what". Now if I can luck out and make it to the Eye Foundation before my 9:15 AM appointment.

Don't feel bad. It's hard to keep that area straight. I've run wrecks on 280 where there were 4 fire departments and two ambulance services for a wreck that turned out to have no injuries. Those were the days. Hope your appointment goes well.
