Paul, that is Unon VFD's "Tac" Channel here in Tallapoosa Co. Don't know "how" they got that one licensed for thier "Tac" Channel but they did and they use the heck out of it.

I have seen or read somewhere that the frequency of 154.280 is a Fire Department Mutual Aid Frequency here in Alabama. I believe that it is/was in the RR Alabama database under one of the State listings.

yes it is, now I have two different counties on it I think 100 miles apart & using the same PL. I was either getting DX 1 time or hearing our local VFD
. I am leaning toward the DX theory now. Make that maybe 3 different counties I know are usuing the same PL & very heaarble under DX conditions

Thumbs up Ambulance on 155.265

I have 4 ambulance services/rescue squads in the Jefferson County area on that Frequency -
Carbon Hill RS/Walker County RS, Anniston RS, Cullman County, Don't have info on which one has the pl tone listed in your post, Need where you live or were when you heard that traffic.

Exclamation Ambulance on 155.265

I show Alabama City Ambulance in Butler County and City Ambulance in Montgomery as the closest in my list.
