Hey folks, I am new to this forum. I have listened to the power co as well as other utilities for years but they changed freq a couple of years ago and I'd like to be able to listen to them again as they troubleshoot our grid system and get us back up and running.
Does anyone have their new freq/s? I live in east alabama, Lee/Russell/Macon county area and would like to be able to listen as they track faults and fix it...
Any information is greatly appreciated.

PS I have several radio shack scanners and have nevef had a problem with any of them. I am also an amateur radio operator (extra class license) All or most of our ham radio xceivers are also able to scan many freqs also.

Welcome to the forums sea_goin_dude you find good info and people here.
Alabama Power uses Southern Linc and they cannot be monitored by any scanner.

Alabama Power exclusively uses the SouthernLINC cellular system, which can't be monitored. SouthernLINC is owned by Southern Co., the parent company of Alabama Power.
