Default Auburn, AL

Anybody in the Auburn, AL area not receiving Auburn City Police?
Have received it last couple years and now only getting Fire--no Police.

Check 155.87250 / 158.91750
These appear to be a new Narrow-Band Repeater pair for Auburn PD.
They are not listed in the RRDB yet.
If they are active post them to the RRDB so they can add them to the list.
Allcom Wireless from B,Ham is in charge of their licensing, so don't be surprised if they move to TRBO sooner or later.
The current emission indicates NB Analog Voice for now.
Also check 155.6100 / 153.90500 and see if you hear any traffic.
This freq. pair is listed for the PD on UHF with a NB voice & data emission, it could be used for Mobile Data. Not in RRDB.
453.76250 / 458.76250
Try this freq. also since it appears they may use it from time to time for interop. with Lee Co. Sheriff.
154.74000 / 158.97000
I see several other simplex freq.s listed on UHF for the PD, but I am not sure what they are used for.
You may also want to do a UHF search and see if you can find anything.

Auburn PD has changed from PL to DPL. I don't the new DPL but if your scanner/radio can handle DPL (or DCS), try 155.610 with DCS search. One of the UHF frequencies listed is/was used by APD, best guess is as a remote link because I have heard both dispatch and cars on the frequency. Can't remember which UHF frequency is/was used. If I can find my list, I will post (no promises with things bein "crazy" here).

Reference Allcom, don't bet the farm on TRBO. Rumours has it that "some departments" are resisting TRBO. Will be interesting.

Take a look at these freq.'s and see what you can find out.

Auburn Police Dept. VHF Repeater. Not listed in the RRDB.
Output - 155.87250 / Input - 158.91750 - Emission: 11K0F3E - Callsign: KIB767

These are the UHF freq.'s that are licensed for Auburn PD.
Auburn Police Dept. UHF Repeater. Not listed in the RRDB. May be used for Mobile Data?
Output - 453.76250 / Input - 458.76250 - Emission: 11K1F1D, 11K0F3E Callsign: WPVJ699

Auburn Police Dept. UHF Simplex. Not listed in the RRDB. Unknown Use.
Output - 453.28750 - 453.33750 - 453.73750 - Emission: 11K3F3E Callsign: WQDB449

Auburn Police Dept. UHF Simplex. Not listed in the RRDB. Unknown Use.

Auburn Police Dept. UHF Simplex. Not listed in the RRDB. Unknown Use.
Output - 460.23750 - 460.36250 - 460.37500 - Emission: 11K3F3E Callsign: WQIR383

================================================== ===========================

Auburn Fire Dept. VHF Repeater. Not listed in the RRDB.
Output - 155.57250 / Input - 158.96250 - Emission: 11K0F3E - Callsign: KTN400

Auburn Fire Dept. UHF Simplex. Not listed in the RRDB. Unknown Use.
Output - 453.56250 - 458.30000 - 458.80000 - Emission: 11K2F3E Callsign: WQFE790

It appears that the PD & FD may have changed freq.'s to the VHF narrow-band freq.’s.
Can someone verify if any of these freq.'s are in use or active. Not sure what the UHF freq.'s are being used for.
Could be used for remote, tactical, Interoperability.
May have something to do with Auburn Univ. since they are using some freq.'s on UHF.
Appears that they may be trying to put together enough UHF freq.’s for an LTR Trunk system.

medic, that was the campus folks (maintenance, admin and etc) But unless something has changed, the city PD and campus PD became "one" a few years back. So don't know who is using the "security" frequencies listed.

ok thanks steve, i was in auburn a couple of years ago and heard what sounded like security doing a roll call of what might have been housing units and saw a officer that had a auburn police saftey patch on a uniform. seems like the car had a auburn public saftey decal on the door also.

i am not 100% sure of the freq but i think it was 154.725.

Been hearing traffic on 155.8725 (DCS612) past few days. I was hearing traafic on 155.610 (DCS143) a couple of weeks back. Don't know how the set-up is confirgued. I did see that both the PD and FD have narrowbanded their "old" frequencies - 155.610/153.905 and 154.400/150.790.

Default AUBURN

Kellec4 -

Depending on what model scanner you use, go into the particular channel and select MODE, then select NFM. That's Narrowband FM, as opposed to FM or AM. That's about all you have to do. I quickly admit that it could well be different for GRE scanners since all I use are Uniden models.
