Default Fairhope moves back to their LTR system

...and vacates the UHF NEXEDGE system they've been using due to reliability issues.

FCC application 0005592109 (granted 01/08/2013)

Be sure to open and read the "STA Letter" attached to the application.

I've made submissions to get the system marked as active once again in the DB too.

Good news, I will trade the more exciting scanning across the bay in Mobile for knowing what's going on in my own town. I've heard Daphne was going Nexedge but I still hear them on their 800 MHz LTR; I wonder if they have run into problems themselves or if Fairhope's issues are giving them second thoughts?

This is good news. My son lives in Fairhope and I enjoyed listening to them the one time I was down there before they moved. Now I can update my "Alabama" profile for my next trip.

Wow. This is good news. I hope it will last. Now if BayMinette would get off the Nexedge as well. I'm sure Fairhope will end up on the P25 Phase II System that is already in use in Baldwin County.
