Question Vstavia

Vestavia transferring emergency dispatch to Shelby County
Hmmm I wonder this means vestavia will be the new VHF TRS instead of being on the Birmingham1?

Not sure, but it shocked the heck out of me when I heard that Shelby 911 would be dispatching for Vestavia, a city in Jefferson county. I know one of their dispatchers got hired somewhere else, I hope all the others did too.

Default Vestavia - Dispatch from Shelby Co

Wow... This is a strange one. Do they think Shelby County will have extra people around to handle Vestavia?

I was a weekend night shift dispatcher from 1974-1977 back in the days of VHF-Low band.

I know the new city hall has a radio room. Guess I'd better go by and see it while they still have it.
