Question Is Jefferson County Simulcast TRS Down or Having Problems?.

My PSR-800 had been receiving the Jeff. Co. TRS and other Local Digital Agencies fine up until a couple days ago, then all of a sudden it stopped receiving Any Digital at all. It still shows the little "T" blinking at the top and the transmissions that were previously digital and showed Dg now show NF?. (Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept. Does Not Even Show anymore, So I assumed the Entire System was down or having problems?. Does any one know about any problems with Jeffco TRS or how to fix the problem?. Thanks

Arrow JeffCo/Bham TRS Problems?

Haven't noticed any problem here. Have a BC396XT on almost 24/7 at home and at work. Haven't had any problem picking them up. Sounds like a radio problem or a "cockpit error" (operator error) and something in the hardware, firmware or data has changed or gone bad. Check the radio settings and data to be sure it is all correct. If the settings and data are O. K. then it is probably something in the radio has failed.

Birmingham and Jefferson County both were down for about a hour and half Tuesday night around 7- 8:30 pm. All handheld communications with dispatchers were down .Handheld units could communicate with each other but could not receive or transmit to dispatchers. If you needed to communicate with dispatch you had to do it on your car radio. I know Bham PD/ BFRS, Jeffco Sheriff, Gardendale, Trussville, Mt Brook , Irondale and Bessemer were affected by the problem. The analog part of the system did not appear to be affected....
