Default Ozark City Project 25 TRS

The city of Ozark in Dale County, has applied to the FCC, in order to construct a Project 25 TRS. Does anyone know if this will be a stand alone system or part of the AFRN? More information is available on the FCC Web site:

This system was approved by the FCC in April. I was wondering if it's active at this time or not? Here's the frequencies:
  • 769.83125
  • 771.23125
  • 772.13125
  • 772.58125
  • 772.95625
  • 774.15625
  • 774.88125

I can confirm that the police are still on VHF Analog. Haven't heard the fire department in a while. Looks like the license is pending. The license does show it for the Fire Department.

Licensee shows Ozark, City of, Attn: Fire Department.
On the Service Specific Link & under Eligibility it shows (Fire Department Services).
License Emission shows both P-25 Voice & Data use.
Someone may want to scan the 700 band between 769.000 & 775.000 and check for any control channel or digital voice activity.

Update: Looks like Ozark has switched over to a new 700 MHz P25 Trunking System. I live to far to south to confirm the 700 MHz frequencies. I can tell you that they are no longer using 155.820 for Police Dispatch. Or 154.325 for Fire. Both VHF Frequencies have gone silent. In the article it talks about how bad the 155.820 repeater was. It was one of the strongest and loudest VHF Repeaters in Southeast Alabama if you ask me.
