Southeast Alabama frequencies
Well after MANY MANY years away from scanners (to show you how long, I got about 8 crystal controled scanners from my days in Oregon)
I am looking for a list of frequencies in and around the Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark area that would be good to listen to.. I have been playing with a few search features and am identifying some area stuff, but if anyone has a list I would love to get it.. Yah I am going to upgrade to current stuff soon.. LOL
Guess I am behind the times a bit.

Welcome to the group. A new(er) scanner will definately make listening to the area much more enjoyable. Be sure to check the database as you may find what you're looking for in there.
Again, welcome!

Hey, Jason - did y'all hear of plans to establish an EMA/EOC simulcast system in Baldwin County on the network from up in Clanton? Any info would be appreciated for our Chaplain Responders assisting in the aftermath of hurricanes. Our TK-380's and TK-370G's can be programmed to receive ( only ) any of those channels.

Nothing has come down my way as far as any reprogramming goes.

Thanks, Jason... I'm still trying several different avenues to access info about them expanding the UHF network that has been somewhat dormant... I'll let you know what I find, if anything.
Do you know if the EMA repeater in Spanish Fort is active on 453.400 ?

Spanish Fort should have been one of the first UHF repeaters replaced. Most all of them have been replaced statewide. They aren't all linked to AEMA yet. That is supposed to happen sometime in the future. We monitor the local one up here in Huntsville. They serve as a backup for Linc. Our vehicles have all of the repeaters programmed in their radios so we can communicate if we go to assist in another area.

EMCom - thanks for the data... we'll just keep listening from Orange Beach and hope...
That tower never did come in very well at the south end of the county between the Florida Line and Ft. Morgan. I could hear the Escambia County, Florida, MA tower on 460.2750 well, but hardly any signal on 453.400 from Spanish Fort. Theyre roughly the same distance from here with the same terrain. Hopefully a new upgrade will include a bit more ERP.

Houston Co Sheriff / Success trunk-traking LTR
Greetings........ Great SE Ala info going there............
I have never successfully scanned-trunked Houston Co S-O.
I now run a Uniden 996.
I understand that frequencies have to be entered in correct sequence as LTR trunking and with talkgroup numbers entered.
I must not have the right frequency sequence or something.....
Can someone who has successfully scanned-trunked Houston Co S-O advise of your settings????
Thanks,
Julian
