Default Vertex 354 programming

Does anyone have a vertex 354 yet? and how hard is it to program it? I've been thinking about programming it myself because the only 2 guys that can program radios within the 11 fire departments where i live can do it. So needless to say they are a little busy.

I have a vx-354 VHF and it is pretty easy to program, took me about 4 times to learn what everything did and get it just like I wanted it, but its a nice radio.

P.s.: Im Vol. Firefighter and sofar iv owned it about a year and its holding up pretty good, I also have the Heavy Duty shoulder Mic and it also holding up good.

p.p.s: Make sure you get at least version 2.01 of the CE86 software, Paging is bugged in the 1.somthing I had befor. Also version 1.xx wont run on vista from what I hear.

Thanks, do you happen to know where I could get cheaper software? The best deal i have found so far is Antenna Farm but I didn't know if there was somewhere else with anything cheaper...

Default Alignment

Do either of you two know why when I use basic alignment and align the battery level, it makes the radio think the battery is just about dead? How do I fix this? I can not manually change the settings because it's an automatic adjustment. I am useing ver 1 of ce86 and I don't know if I can get ver2 at this time. Thanks.
