Unhappy Scannoculars

I bought a Scannocular for $10 the other day .Don't ask ,it seemed like a good idea at the time and it was only ten bucks. However I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do any programming.Any one have a link to a manual or copy of one they could send as an attachment? It seems that information on these are difficult to find at least for me.

I seem to remember that those radios were actually Uniden SC-180 or SC-200 radios inside.
Those were actually pretty nice receivers so it may turn out to be a decent conventional scanner.
Let us know how it works out... Best of luck...

I have a few freqs. entered . It seems to be working just fine. I wish it had wall wart power but for $10.00 I'll get my money's worth out of it.

Wow! I didn't even know they made something like this. Anyone know how much these cost when they first came out or what year?

Late 90's, early 2000. They were around $120. Wally-world used to sell them. They were marketed big time here in the land of NASCAR. Never could get a handle on this one though

looks to be one on ebay for $65
http://cgi.ebay.com/Memorex-TrackTec...d=p3286.c0.m14

so for $10 you cant complain... doesnt even look like the original came with an AC adapter either so no worries..

A nice feature on the scannocular is that the display lights up when it picks up a transmission. I will find a use for it.
