Default A Question About The Regency ACT-4 3-band Scanner

I still have my very first scanner, a Regency ACT-4 4-channel/3-band scanner I received new as a gift back in 1982. It still looks new and the channel lights still scan when plugged in. I have the original box but am missing the owner's manual. While searching on-line for a downloadable replacement manual I've only been able to find ones for sale, which I do intend to do. But if someone here can answer the one question I do have before I order a manual I'd be very grateful.

My question is how to configure the band and channel wires. For some reason when I stored the scanner not only did I remove the crystals but I also unplugged the wires between the channel pins and the frequency band pins. I have 4 VHF-Lo frequency crystals that are still very much in use in my area and would love to put this radio back in service. I also have several VHF-Hi and UHF crystals for my area and would like to see if they work as well.

Thanking you all in advance for any help!

The diagram is for model ACT-C4 H/L/U. Plug crystal wires to the appropriate band pin. If two crystals or more are for the same band, plug the crystal wires to connect the crystals together and plug the remaining free crystal wire to the band pin.

Thanks for the quick reply. If I'm using multiple bands it's pretty straightforward to set the radio up. But right now I'm using 4 VHF-Lo crystals and I'm a little confused by the wording here. If I read this correctly that means that I should connect the Ch. 1 wire to the VHF-Lo pin and connect the remaining channel wires all to the Ch. 1 pin...or do I plug the remaining 3 channel wires into the Ch. 1, 2, and 3 pins?

Again...thanking you in advance.

I still remember my first Regency 10 Channel scanner back in the 70's! It was just like this one here.

For four crystals in the same band, in this case VHF-LO, connect the ch 1 wire to the VHF-LO pin. Then connect the ch 2 wire to the ch 1 pin, the ch 3 wire to the ch 2 pin and the ch 4 wire to the ch 3 pin. This creates a common connection for all four crystals and the common connection is tied to the VHF-LO pin.
