Default Yaesu vr-500 RF squelch

Can someone help with setting the RF squelch in th VR-500. what is it and what setting nuber is to set it too.

In the case of RF squelch it is the strength of the RF signal and not the volume of the audio (independent of the volume control) used to open the squelch.

Low number means a weak signal can open the squelch. The higher the number the stronger the RF signal must be to open the squelch.
