Default Regency D 300 Question

I just picked up a vintage Regency D 300 prorammable scanner. Does anyone know if the keypad has a backlight like the mobile versions of these Regencys did? I don't want to open it up to change a bubl if there isn't one in there.

A backlight isn't essential for this one, so thought I would ask since someone here probably has one of these still in service.

Thanks
Don

No, if memory serves correctly, I do not believe there is a backlighted keyboard in this radio.

Regency scanners of this vintage generally had a hi/off/lo switch if they had a backlight as the M100/M300's did.

I do not recall the D300 having a backlight.

Good luck and happy listening,
Mike

Thanks for the reply. I had a M300 for years as my mobile scanner, but it's long gone, so I couldn't remember exactly how the backlight was controlled on this style of Regency. Makes sense that this one didn't need it since it's a desktop style and not a mobile. This one caught my eye on EBay and the nostalgia of those old Regency's kicked in, so I had to have it. Thanks again.
