Hi 18-3box,

Yup it was popular in Europe, and Camnis (European scanner maker) made a clone called the HSC-050. To this day I am not sure who is the actual manufacturer, and who is the knockoff. Almost all of Trident radios had an equal Camnis equivalent (or visa-vera).

Here is a link to it's specs.

EDIT... Actually that linked sucked. Sorry about that. Here is a link to the ACTUAL manual. It from a Cech site, but you can download the manual there.

Richster, I joined the group so I could say 'Thank you' for having this link. I have this scanner- I've had it since it came out...quite reliable...anyway, my manual is lost amongst my stuff so I needed to find it somewhere. Thanks for having posted this link, it is appreciated. I like my AOR 8000 better but nonetheless the HSC-050, my version...(!) is a nice scanner, wide band and all.

Paul
