Default So I got another one.

Few years ago I received a FT-60R for my birthday, AWESOME radio, I loved it, but I did some extra tweaking around in it that I shouldn't of done and killed it. Well the other day I ordered another one from HRO and can't wait for it to come in, but this time I'm not going to even think about opening it up. So are there any other FT-60R owners that are out there? What do you think of the radio? Does any one use FT-60 commander? and how easy is it to use?

Yes, this a fine HT. I have two, and just purchased a third here on, RR. I will receive it this week. The mods on this one were professionally done. My personal preference is to program by hand. I know that is not the way to go these days, but that is just my opinion.
Enjoy your new FT-60. Don't mess with it unless you're really capable.

Have had my FT-60 for about a year and a half, and it is still my favorite rig. Great radio.

I did the mod my self the first time with no problem, then I found another mod that looked like it would be cool, but that was for the FT-60E and I killed the radio..I have commercial UHF and VHF portables so I will just use those for freqs that the FT60 cant transmit on..
