Yep, definitely looks promising. Too bad I already splurged a couple months ago on a Kenwood D710A. I like the look of this new Yaesu radio a lot better. Looks like a crossover between the D710A and the Icom 2820. Very sexy!

Smile Kenwood d-710

I have had my d-710 for a yr and 9 months.

Its simple to operate and has a good feel to it.

I use the av map 5 with miine.

They compliment each other.

Ill stick with kenwood.

I hear they are having a new kenwood aprs ht coming out as well.

No 6m or HF, but I have a rig that will do that so I guess that's ok. I do like the wide RX range.
