It could be that figure is preprogammed into the eprom and worked ok with the design,who knows? But there are areas of the country which 220mhz. is pretty popular,maybe that's why? We have only one rptr. for that band here, but I'm glad.

Still? That and the linked 442.225, but there doesn't seem to be too many beyond that.
I can not speak for most of the country but in the major metropoliten areas around here(SNJ-NNJ) there are NO repeater pairs left for the amateur coordinators to allocate.
