Default Alternative to MCP-F6F7?

I recently obtained a Kenwood TH-F6A, and the programming software that is free from Kenwood's website is difficult at best.

Is there any alternatives that you can pay for?

I have looked around, but cant find anything.

Cool TH-F6A grief.. ;-)

I'm in same Boat, having bought one a few weeks ago - have joined and searched file areas of all most all TH-F6A Yahoo groups to no avail, and am laboriously typing info into an FX file.

IMHO: The BEST collection of .fx files and intricate EXCEL sheets to control or program the TH-6 is this one:

Subscribe: TH-F6A-subscribe@yahoogroups.com - I went an just looked for Iowa, but no joy. :-<

The Kenwood Program would be much better if you could at least cut and past BLOCKS of channels, as I have collected a BUNCH of .fx files with good info - Like Sat freqs, FRS, marine, GMRS, etc. and am creating a "standardized" fx-file set of 146-147 standard entries for all 2M repeaters, leaving room for the 144-145 MHz ones that pop up, too as well as 220 and 440 later.

Am actually modifying one that already HAD the SAT/FRS/GMRS/MARINE/CB/WX freqs done, rather than starting from a blank, and if you want that one, can send it to you in it's yet-unfinished-repeaters state.

I don't know the Call and standard pairs for 220 and 440, but will add those too. With my :Post-Polio-nuked typing speed, it may take a month. :-)

Will be adding the local Fire/PD ones later.

But be happy to share it.

Macintosh Ham Radio Memories Manager

This will work if you have a MAC. I haven't found anything for windows and been looking for a long time. I manage with the KW software I am used to it though the TM-271 has the same interface.
If you find anything make sure to post it.
