Default Palomar Elite 250HD

Maybe someone can tell me something about it. My palomar has like a 1-2 second delay on AM. It has been like this from the time i got it brand new. If i am using it on the AM talking to someone and that person keys up to talk to me right after i unkey i miss about 1-2 seconds of what he is saying. I know it has auto. sideband on it. Can someone tell me what it is and how it can be fixed? Thanks

Usually the only thing which adds the ssb delay feature, which is what you're hearing is most often nothing more than a 10-25uf. electrolytic cap. If you have the schematic, then it should be easy to locate.
