Default Experience with a Yaesu FTM 10?

Conducted a search and found nothing. I'm thinking about "liquidating" some of my older radios including my FT2600 and getting an FTM-10R for a mobile application. Anyone have experience with this radio?

I take this as a no? I'm really surprised, it seems like it would be a nice radio. Not very many on ebay showing up used.

Maybe because no one is buying any? I've seen the radio in person, and am not impressed by it. There are two models, a high power and low power. My vehicle already rcvs FM broadcast, why pay for it in an amateur mobile?? With the Bluetooth accessories, it can be bordering on expensive for a dual bander. I'm betting that the display is washed out in daylight. Had a Kenwood that did that. Great radio, couldn't see the display
Have you tried E-ham for reviews?

Looks to be a nice radio to install on motorcycles and other equipment used outside. I would purchase just regular dual band ham radio to use in a car or truck.

As the other poster pointed out Eham online reviews are you friend on buying ham radios.

I checked it out, reviews were mixed. This unit may actually be too small for my application.

ft10r works great . have it mounted on my Harley Roadking. Solid unit, FM, AM, Weather, Stereo, time clock and Bluetooth 2mtr 440. also accepts Ipod and with 2 bluetooth chips works as an intercom between riders.
When used with optional mike no problems.made like a Yeasu !!! . Bluetooth requires chip or chips depending on the intercom one for each head set. It can be broken with the face on the handlebars and the power in the bag protected. IT has the ability to use three speaker settings ,one in the head unit one in the body nad the blue tooth heas set. Don't expect to hear transmissons from the front speaker while on a harley.
transmissions are good till about 6-8 feet from the bike with the bluetooth unit.
