Default Program Yeasu 8900

In programing the Yeasu 8900. Can you program the frequencies you want on the left side and the frequencies on the right or this program don't do that? I installed the program and don't see anything like that. I don't think it would be that hard to figure out if you could do that. Any help would be great.

Thanks
Pat

I'm not familiar with programming of the 8900 but it is designed to take programming on both left and right. From looking at the screen shot here: http://www.g4hfq.co.uk/8900help/8900...s%20screen.png it looks different compared to the FTB8800: http://www.g4hfq.co.uk/8800help/8800...s%20screen.png
The online help file for the FTB8900 is here: FTB8900 Contents and there is a help file built into the program, if you are using the FTB8900 program.

Thumbs down short answer no

No the 8900 is not like the 8800 , the 8900 just has one big memory , unlike the 8800 that can be seperatly programed for left and right. i bought the 8900 and as soon as i discoverd how the memory was set up i returned it and got the 8800. haveing 6 and 10 meters would be nice , but the memory set up is CRAP

Yes, I notice that there is a difference between the 8800 and the 8900. I should have bought the 8800, but wouldn't you figure the 89 would be better or at least the same. I see the spreadsheet is set up a little different. It has two sides on the spreadsheet. On my program, it's just one big memory. I guess I'm stuck with it for now.
Thanks for the links.

Problem is the 8900 was first to come out then the 8800 a year (or two?) later. Obviously Yaesu made an improvement in the memory management with their second radio.

Two absolutely different radios. 8900 is a quadband radio--10m, 6m, 2m, 440Mhz. 8800 is a dualband radio-2m and 440Mhz. And, yes, Yaesu made a huge jump with the memory management
