Default Icom HM-148G and IC-208H

Does anyone know if the Icom HM-148G heavy duty mic will work with the IC-208H dual-band mobile radio? The connection "looks" like it'll fit, but not sure if the mic will work. Anyone know?

Thanks in advance for the input!

That microphone comes with the following radios below and does not have the button
compatability needed for the 208H. The 208H is an amateur radio product and the
radios below are all commercial or are for the public safety users. Just because it has
the same modular plug does not mean it will or won't work but the 208H requires a data
specific communications for the buttons to work so it may work for transmit and voice but
the only way your going to know is to try it.
