Help With An Encoder and Identifying Parts.
Hello all,
I'm still new to the forums, and I'm not sure where this should go exactly so if theres a better area for this feel free to move it or let me know and I'll post else where.
I recently got this tone encoder, its designed to activate tornado sirens, its just a two tone encoder though. I was hoping to find out where or if i can buy some of these parts I have pictured below. I'm looking for either the entire tone card or for the specific parts that i have circled. If you could let me know what they're called and if you know of anyplace that sells them.
Info:
Federal Tone Encoder
Model: TE10*B2R

You are more then likely to not find any thing on this encorder. What is the problem with it?
Fereral Signal made these units in the 70's & 80's and have long ago stop supporting them.
If you tryed contacting Fed sig about this, they will more then likely laugh tell you hang up.
The two boards that you are showing are the tone module add on cards, the unit could support 10 cards.
One card is for a 600.9 frequency and the other is for a 634.5 frequency.
Some of these encorders where connected to system only by phone circuits and some by radio and then there were some that could do both.

I kind of figured that finding anything for this would be a stretch, and owing 2 1970s federal signal tornado sirens I know federal is useless to call for vintage parts!
What I'm wanting to do is change the tones to 1355.0Hz and 2859.0Hz,
I'm hoping to either change the parts to make the tones correct for my decoder/receiver, and/or have the car recreated or find something that will work.
I've seen the "tone decoder/encoder kit" from ramsey electronics and it looks like that could possibly be connected to the encoder. I'd love to get this thing working with my receivers.
Would it be better/easier to change my receivers tones to match this encoder? the receiver is a Federal Ten-Ten.
Thanks!

Wow.. my typing failed horribly on my previous post, that should say I want to have the CARD recreated.

Recreating a tone generator isn't that hard, so producing a modern replacement would be fairly simple. Of course getting it all to work right with the controller might make for more work. At that point you'd need to decide if it was worth the work, or would it be easier to just purchase something more modern. I guess if it's the historical value you want, then you are stuck with that controller.
Oh, by the way, thanks for NOT being my neighbor. Living on the West coast, we don't have such things as Tornado Sirens, although some areas do have Tsunami Sirens. Whenever I'm back east I always get freaked out when they test those things. I was in Cincinatti last year and came in on a really late flight. By the time I got lost a few times and found the hotel, it was in the wee hours of the morning. Getting woken up by the 12 noon tornado siren test was scary as hell. I looked at the clock and saw it was 12 noon and part of my brain told me it was a test, and the other part was trying to figure out what to do.
