I don't know why they have it, but I like it!

Whenever there is a special logo on Google just hover your mouse over it and the reason will come up as a tool tip.

And if you click on the logo you will do a search for the related item.

I think its just cool how google acknowledges his birthday at all. Ever since google's creation its been the only search engine I ever use. They just do things right!
