The members of the Muscatine Amateur Radio Club will be operating Special Event Station W0M (Whiskey Zero Mike) from 0000UTC on June 15 through 2359 UTC on June 30. This is in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Muscatine Amateur Radio Club! Frequencies of operation will be around 20kHz +/- of 3.970, 7.258, 28.310, and 146.910 with additional operations on other amateur bands. QSL via KC0AQS with a #10 Self Addressed Stamped Envelope to 1092 Ripley Rd., Muscatine, IA 52761. (Also logs may be uploaded to Logbook of the World and eQSL sometime after June 30th, but you can only get the certificate through the postal service.)

The Muscatine Amateur Radio Club, aka MARC, formed sometime in the year 1948, is one of the oldest clubs in the state of Iowa. MARC is an ARRL affiliated club with 14 members. The Muscatine Amateur Radio Club is the co-sponsor of the Southeast Iowa Hamfest, which is held the first Sunday in October in West Liberty, Iowa at the Muscatine County Fairgrounds. (The other co-sponsor is the Washington Area Amateur Radio Club.) MARC owns and operates the 146.910 KC0AQS repeater, located on the campus of Muscatine Community College. (The club supports the weekly traffic and emergency preparedness net, held every Sunday at 8:30pm local time.) The club meets the second Monday of the month at 7pm at the Flickinger Learning Center in Muscatine. For more information about the club, visit Muscatine Amateur Radio Club Home Page
