Default Echolink Audio Issue

Hi All.

I finally (after days of trying) got my Echolink and ports set up to allow it to connect to the test server and the internet. I used it on a previous computer and it worked great. Now that I am using it on a new computer, the playback in the tets server is very very low and un-readable. I attempted to mess around with some sound settings in the echolink toolbar but I have been unsuccessfull.

Does anyone know what might be wrong? I am using a mic/headset combo for this.

Did you check the Windows audio configuration? Could be the mic input volume is too low.
Good luck with Echolink, it is great!

That is another issue all in itself that I was not able to figure out. I am running Windows Vista and the audio/sound settings are quite un recognizeable and confusing.

right click on the speaker Icon in the lower right hand corner of windows by the clock then click on recording devices and make sure mic is default then click on mic and then on properties and you can adjust the mic level and try that. It took me some tweaking to get it working right. Good luck and hope to hear you on echo link soon

Got it working better when I messed with some mic settings. Also a tip for anyone having this issue, try to mess around with your text to speech and mic testing settings on your PC. It helped recognize the headset. I also realized it was late at night and I probably wasn't speaking too loud myself.

Thanks hope to hear ya on the bands.
