out of all the diff digital modes I think MOTOTRBO sounds the best now this is via this kewl site:

Shawn - thanks for posting this good info. I like DStar and P25 and good to see the MotoTRBO getting into the amateur market. There is also a Icom/Kenwood IDAS/NXDN following here on RR as well. All good to see happening.

id get me a NXDN radio if it can be used on ham radio simplex I know the local PS agencies are switching to it
Also that AOR HF digital mode sure sounds mighty fine haha

Yes, the IDAS/NXDN radios can be used on amateur frequencies, both simplex and repeater mode. In the case of the Icom's, the VHF radios cover 136-174. The UHF radios have a couple of splits, 400-470 and 450-520.
