Default Excelent Morse Code Practice Materials!

I am using some old tapes that use this system:

Code Quick

Code Quick - Learn How To Use Morse Code In 12 Days

It is a very unique way to learn code and it works! I have tried to learn it several times only to give up in frustration, but this stuff works!

I know this sounds like an ad but I assure you I have no connection with these guys, I am just stoked to finally see the possibility of learning CW!

I know you don't need it to be a ham anymore and I am sure some will say that Morse code is dead, but I say whatever, it is alive and well in in use more than you think!

I will have to check that out I have tried a few products and have felt the same frustration.
I know I have read this somewhere the code requirement was lifted from the testing does not mean it is dead. Now if you are into the hobby and want to learn it is a personal decision not a requirement. I am still trying to learn and eventually I will get there.

Way back when i was learning cw i started using tapes and after i got the basics down i moved
on the listening to the W1AW code practice sessions on the air. It worked so well that in 3 weeks
i was up to 18 words a minute(with some mistakes). I was shooting for a general class at the time
which required 13 words a minute to pass and i needed to be faster due to the mistakes i was
making at the higher speeds. I loved doing cw - its a great mode despite the moaners & groaners
of a few short years ago before they did away with the cw requirement. Have fun and learn at the
same time - its a great hobby....
