Default FT-8800 Interference

Have an FT-8800 mounted in a 2000 Nissan Sentra. I am receiving a low power RF on 146.520. Setting PL or DCS will suppress it but defeats the reason for monitoring 52.

Turning various electronic items on/off has no effect but turning car off stops it. Does not sound like ignition noise or alternator.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Doc

For what it's worth, I have a birdy on 146.520 in my 1997 Saturn. Always been there.

The birdy on the saturn is VERY common and is coming from the air bag control circuit. I can hear as saturns get within 2 or 3 cars from me. The issue with the nissan is most likley the same, some computer circuit with a signal on 52. You might be able to isolate to a function by pulling fuses.
