Nothing new with people playing music on any frequencies or modes. Is it a great song?

Could be someone with one of those "export" 10m radios, who thinks it's funny to be blasting music wherever they feel like.

Music on SSB sucks raw eggs and if it ends in 5 you have one guess what's holding the mic.
This is a song about CB
and if you abuse it you're gonn' lose it
and if you lose it you're gonn' 'buse and
if you 'buse it you aint gonn' be able to choose it
cuz you aint gonn' have it further on down the line
things aint gonn' be so fine
you're gonn' to be sitting there in your little.. jail cell
tryin to look and keep it clean and
you’re wantin' to be home playing bingo all night all alone
and that's why your sittin there with no radiddeo
and you know that no ham ain't goin' to call you
anyway

Jamming
I hear that from time to time, even monitoring 20 meters 14.313 is a freak show! We had a jammer here recently screw up communications on our 2 meter repeater here in holiday FL. on a daily basis. Apparently it was a disgruntled ham that was banned from the repeater some time ago, he & his buddies ran a jamming session almost 24/7
But what are you gonna do...morons will be morons & life goes on, it is just ashame that licensed hams have to act that way & resort to behavior unbecoming of a licensed operator.

Jamming on 10 meters
Yes its real sad when you have one 1 person banned from a repeater and he holds a grudge about it and him and his buddies starts jamming the repeater. I use to listen to the 640 machine there in Port Richey but it became a zoo with all the jamming and when they tried to run there weekly nets the jammer just added fuel to the fire and became useless to run it. I do remember several times when he started jamming them they had a bunch of people out trying to track his location while he was jamming the repeater but were not able to locate him. just real sad, only takes 1 person to ruin it for everyone else.

All they had to do was shut the repeater down for awhile. If he continued to try then he would be even easier to track!

At least it keeps them all in one place and easy to find, the ham version of the Comedy Channel.

Kind of sad if you think about it. I just got into this hobby I love it so far everybody who I have talked to is great but there is always a few loose individuals that try to ruin it for everybody else.

Sometimes, attracting attention on the ham bands can wind up being rather expensive.

Yes it can be but in worst cases successful prosecution is damn near impossible, you know the names if you follow the stories.
The FCC has its moments though, especially when it came to Sir Riley of Hollingsworth's dry sense of humor. Google "Timtron" and somewhere amid gales of laughter at his assorted antics (quite harmless actually) you'll find Riley's warning letter to WA1HLR about "testicling" and you'll bust a gut.
Like I said about the Alpha Hotels, at least for the most part they stick to certain frequencies and are thus easily avoided. You know what they say about birds of a feather and it's a good thing, no sense getting aggravated when a twist of the VFO gets rid of them and we have SO much spectrum to play with.

Indeed, but as per "what are you gonna do"
I'd hop in the car with a few of the guys and have me a good ol' fashioned fox hunt!
Not to mention report their calls to the FCC once I found the bastards

Just one fly in the ointment, you have to play detective and gather hard evidence before the FCC will take notice. I've been through that a couple of times, the first was when the NYPD brought charges for jamming PS frequencies (ham repeater jamming fell by the wayside) and the other was when we caught the rat. Long story but it turned out he was the club president with inside info that made finding him impossible. He was liaison between the club and the FCC so when he failed to deliver the evidence package he was found out. Then he slithered back under his rock never to be heard from again.
"I'd hop in the car with a few of the guys and have me a good ol' fashioned fox hunt!"
Then a midnight antenna party sends a powerful message, just don't get caught. Another word of caution, make sure you have the right one. I was the fox not on the air at the time but sitting with a friend across the street on his porch. Long story but in the end the hunter took some nasty lumps.

Hmmm, intresting mention of 14.313, i admit i used to listen to that `un once in a while after a bad day at work or when i had a day off and needed a good belly-laugh . In fact i almost got to hear a jammer then known as "raincoat charlie" get taken off the air by the FCC, if i`d gotten up something like five minutes earlier i wouldda heard the whole deal, i guess when they do that they (the FCC guys that are at the offender`s QTH) make an on-air announcement from that QTH more-or-less telling all that the station is leaving the air per FCC order. Wouldda been fun to hear what actually happened, but i didn`t unfortunately. N9NRA

Yup, that would have been one for the recorded archives. FCC Field Engineers have GROLs which authorizes them to transmit on any frequency. Trouble is the ringleader is Canadian and Industry Canada ignores the whole thing.
