Default Add antennas on a unit bas phone wireless panasonic

Hi,

I don't know anything with antenna...
I have a panasonic KX-TG5576. I would like to expand the antenna.
There are tow antennas fixed on the base.

1 - I have a old panasonic KX-TG5576 (the same). I would like to take the antennas, and to put them on my working base unit with wire extension (on the roof).
IS it possible or is there a problem ?
Like this I could have the 2 antennas fixed on my base unit and 2 more antennas to expend the range.

2 - if I can, should I keep the tow (extended) antennas close together (like on my base unit) or can I put one on the roof and an other in the garden ?

3 - What king of wire should i use to extend them ? (from my base unit to the antenna) ?

4 - more, I saw that under my base unit there is a whole (plug ?) with tow little contacts written : URX / UTX. Do you know what is it ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Have a nice day,
Bruno.

Not a good idea with this type of cordless phone. This is a 5.8Ghz diversity receiver phone. The way the antennas are setup now is optimum and the way the diversity receiver was designed. To change the antenna configuration you would need to know antenna and diversity receiver design.

I once installed on an older 900Mhz cordless an external antenna and it did not work well cause at the time every one had 900Mhz phones and all it did was increase the interference to the receiver on that 900Mhz receiver.
